Dr. Karla Elliot

Dr Karla Elliott is a Lecturer in Sociology at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She is an expert in masculinities and care, gender theory, social inequalities and violence prevention. She is the author of the book Young Men Navigating Contemporary Masculinities and has published in top journals in the field including Gender, Work & Organization and British Journal of Sociology. She serves on the Editorial Board of Men and Masculinities and her research has been funded by the Australian Research Council and the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation. She brings significant expertise in caring masculinities and gender transformative approaches for working toward gender equality to the summit, as well as sociological and gender studies perspectives on these issues.
